Inclusive Education in the World of Artificial Intelligence includes a forward-looking discussion on how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping education, addressing the opportunities, risks and ethical considerations in leveraging technology for equitable learning. EASNIE Director João Costa opens the webinar, highlighting the importance of technology as both a driver of transformation and a potential source of divide in education systems, and emphasising the need for equitable, ethical and learner-centred digitalisation. Richard Culatta, CEO of the International Society for Technology in Education, shares practical insights into and examples of using AI to support uniquely human skills, such as creativity, curiosity and problem-solving, to help learners and educators. Katri Saarikivi, cognitive neuroscientist at the University of Helsinki, provides a neuroscience perspective on diversity in the classroom and explores how technology can support, but not substitute, human connection and belonging.
